Join us for a special Dream Weavers Workshop where you’ll create your very own shaker instrument!

Shakers and rattles are played in cultures throughout the world to carry our songs and dances.

With reeds and gathered materials, you will learn to weave in the round style of basketry. This basket class is unusual in that by the end you will have created a beautiful shaker instrument to play with, unique to your very own creativity and expression.

All materials will be provided. If you have a special piece of fabric or clothing you’d like to weave into your shaker, feel free to bring it along.

Sip some tea and enjoy light snacks as we weave together, sharing stories, songs, and the joy of creating with our hands. 

No experience of weaving is necessary.
